Our Story

Growing up as the 10th of 11 siblings, most of what I owned were hand-me-downs—and I loved it. I proudly wore my oldest sister’s retro clothes to high school (long before vintage was cool!) and spent countless hours exploring our family farm, searching for hidden treasures in the woods and barn—things others had discarded decades before.

That love for old, storied objects led me to start Ragtrader Vintage in 2005. As the business grew, more of my siblings joined in, and today, we work together on our family farm, designing and crafting jewelry with history and heart. But on many weekends, we hit the road, traveling to arts and crafts festivals across the central and eastern U.S. If you see us at a show, come say hello!

At the core of Ragtrader Vintage is our family farm. The business supports our old home and our parents, who still live there. We’re so passionate about our roots that we even wrote a book about growing up on the farm—"Shoebox Funeral."

From our family to yours, thank you for supporting our small business and helping us keep this dream alive! ❤️
